Hi there! I’m Nora, a 21-year-old pet boarder who absolutely loves spending time with animals. There’s something truly special about the bond we create with pets, whether it’s the joyful energy of a playful pup or the calming presence of a cuddly cat. I find so much happiness in making sure they feel loved, safe, and happy while their families are away. Each pet has its own unique personality, and getting to know them is the best part of what I do!
As someone with 5 cats and 2 dogs of different breeds, I’ve had all kinds of experiences with animals. Each pet has its quirks, from the independent nature of my cats to the boundless energy of my dogs. They’ve taught me patience, love, and how to truly understand animal behavior.

A Typical Day at Paws & Whiskers Retreat

Cats, on the other hand, begin their day with a leisurely breakfast, followed by some quiet time for lounging, bird-watching, or exploring cat trees and tunnels.
Midday is filled with enrichment activities. For dogs, this might mean puzzle toys, scent games, or agility challenges that engage their minds and bodies. Our cat guests enjoy interactive toys, laser pointers, or just some good old-fashioned lap time. Every pet is different, so we cater activities based on their personalities—whether they’re social butterflies or prefer one-on-one attention.
Afternoons are a mix of relaxation and play. Dogs might get some extra cuddle time, a nap in the shade, or more socializing with their doggy pals. Cats love quiet afternoon naps in sunbeams or curled up in a cozy spot. We always keep an eye on everyone, making sure they’re content and comfortable.
